[02.09.2022] Bad news and good news!
When one door closes, another one opens, as the saying goes. Unfortunately, Funhouse will not be able to play at Campus Noir for internal band reasons. We tried to find a solution together with the band. But sometimes it's just not meant to be. We've put shoulders to the wheel to find an equally great replacement. And it's no stranger to the dark rock spheres...
A warm welcome to you: THE FACES OF SARAH
Founded 23 years ago, the Brits around Nick Schultz and Emma Newby have already played all over Europe and shared the stage with almost everyone from The Mission to Fields of the Nephilim to Mark Burgess (The Chameleons). Even though they call themselves a dark alternative rock band, especially their classics like "All That Is Divine" and "Misery Turns" can't hide the impeccable gothic rock. ;) And with the real rock voices of Nick and Emma, two guitars, bass and drums, The Faces of Sarah will definitely set the bc club on fire!
[29.07.2022] 9th announcement: Ian Leding - The 12 strings of melancholy!
An acoustic guitar with 12 strings, a djembe, a tambourine, plus partly two-part vocals - sounds like optimal conditions for an excellent folk-noir concert, doesn't it? And they are!
Ian Leding and his partner Annie Rose paint "melancholic, dreamy pictures of dark seas and lakes, faraway places and lonely, misty forests" and sing of "old stories told in the glow of a campfire", writes the Kulturzentrum Faust and hits the mark.
Some of you may already know Ian Leding from his previous project Salvation Amp. Now we are looking forward to an acoustic Ian Leding, who, together with Annie Rose, will open the evening at the bi-Club.
This completes the musical line-up for Campus Noir X!
[20.07.2022] The advance sale is on!
The advance sale for Campus Noir X is now open via Pretix (link: below)!
First of all, you know that the number of tickets is limited so that we can keep the familiar character of Campus Noir. We think it's good the way it is. So it pays to be quick!
But of course, the general increase in costs has also left its mark on us, so that we have not been able to avoid a ticket price increase. But in view of our varied and rich program, we think the increase can be absorbed, don't you?
There are four different tickets this year:
Half Moon Ticket - for Saturday only: 25 euros (reduced) / 30 euros (normal).
Full Moon Ticket - for Friday and Saturday: 30 Euro (reduced) / 35 Euro (normal)
Reduced tickets are available for students, pupils, trainees, the unemployed, pensioners and people with disabilities. However, please bring appropriate identification/proof of eligibility with you to the entrance, otherwise the difference in price will be due later. And always remember: Admission from the age of 18!
The online tickets can of course be changed back into smart souvenir tickets at the entrance.

[06.07.2022] 8th announcement: KatzKab - Deathrock Cabaret meets Electroclash!
Genre boundaries? Don't exist! Already the predecessor project "Katzenjammer Kabarett" mixed - although founded in the tradition of postpunk and goth rock - deathrock, classical music as well as electronic elements and was inspired by the cabaret of the Weimar Republic. Since the band's breakup in 2010, founding members Klischee and Mr. Guillotine now continue with frontwoman Vik B. and a touch more electroclash and electropunk, without losing their roots.
KatzKab are different from the others - extraordinary, weird, inventive - and make the audience dance even at 30 degrees in the shade. Let them surprise you at the bc-Club!
[26.06.2022] 7th announcement: Diary of Dreams - Hast du noch nie gesehen, wie meine Augen glitzern?
No, we're not kidding you! Diary of Dreams are coming to Campus Noir X in Ilmenau!
They definitely don't need any introduction: 500 concerts and 12 studio albums - the band around mastermind Adrian Hates is well known in our scene and it's not for nothing that Diary of Dreams have been among the spearheads of the dark guild for almost 30 years. We are happy that they are our *special guest* for the 10th Campus Noir anniversary!
For Diary of Dreams, we're exclusively unpacking the brand new ILSC outdoor stage for Campus Noir, setting up the spotlights and turning up the speakers! Get ready for a hot September weekend!
[24.06.2022] 6th announcement: Sweet Ermengarde - A Promise To Fullfil!
Orkus recently called Sweet Ermengarde "Germany's most mysterious gothic rock band". Is this true? You can decide for yourself after their performance at this year's Campus Noir warm-up. One thing is certain: the guys are good - damn good! They have already impressively proven this with their two albums released so far, "Raynham Hall" (2013) and "Ex Oblivione" (2016), and are now continuing the story with their new singer Drew Freeman. It doesn't matter whether Sweet Ermengarde captivate their audience with epic Fields-a-like anthems or make them rock with powerful drum and guitar work. They are among the best that current gothic rock has to offer. It's not for nothing that they are booked as headliners at relevant scene festivals in the motherland of gothic rock, Great Britain.
Welcome to the Campus Noir family: Sweet Ermengarde!
[14.06.2022] 5th announcement: AMBASSADOR21 - The essence of industrial hardcore!
Loud, angry, non-conformist - Since Nataliya A Twentyone and Alexey Protasov unleashed on the world in 2001 with AMBASSADOR21, they have been the terror of every conformist small-minded person. At that time, the two radio DJs of a large, commercial station decided - with all the consequences that follow - to be free, independent and no longer part of the system. Already with their debut album "Invitation for Execution", AMBASSADOR21 attracted a lot of attention and numerous tours across Europe made them a indispensable force within the industrial scene. With their hard, relentless sound and their explosive live performances, they have since left their mark on every important festival in the scene, from Wave-Gotik-Treffen and Maschinenfest to the Kinetik Festival in Canada.
"Fuck all systems" is their motto, punk is in their hearts and with their mixture of industrial, hardcore, metal and breakbeat they will be tearing down the bh-Club for Campus Noir X!
[12.06.2022] 4th announcement: DTORN - eccentric, powerful, different!
Today we are happy to announce an old acquaintance of Campus Noir: Torsten Schneyer already visited us at Campus Noir II, exactly 10 years ago, with his band Adversus and is now back with his new project DTORN.
DTORN makes thoughtful song art somewhere between darkwave, folk, neoclassic, dark chanson and experimental electronics. Classically trained musicians on piano, contrabass and harp, together with Torsten's darkly philosophical lyrics, take you into the darkest abysses and highest longings of the human soul.
On Campus Noir X the motto for the bi-Club is:
"Tick Tack Tick Tack - Paranoia Mindfuck - The speech is unlocked - And words are in the magazine".
[31.05.2022] 3rd announcement: Parade Ground - The co-founders!
Heroes from Belgium, the second: In 1981, Jean-Marc and Pierre Pauly launched their band Parade Ground into the electro orbit. Over the years, they consistently ignored genre boundaries and did pioneering work not only for EBM, but also for Cold Wave and Synthpop. Their influence on the scene is undisputed today.
They wrote songs for two albums for their compatriots Front 242, who in turn produced various Parade Ground outputs, besides Colin Newman of the legendary Wire. Ironic-dadaistic video shows perfectly complement the band's typically icy cold-wave synth sound live, carried by energetic EBM beats.
Parade Ground are authentic, danceable and simply special - you can convince yourself of this at Campus Noir X in the BH-Club.
[29.05.2022] 2nd announcement: Funhouse - Goth'n'Roll, Baby!
Goth rockers don't need to be introduced to the name Funhouse, as the Swedes have belonged to the upper league of the genre since the end of the 80s, but at the latest with their 96 album "Never Again". The number of dance floor classics like "Forever True", "Out Of The Blue" or "Velvet Kiss" continues to grow with tracks like "Dark & Stormy" and "Stay With You".
While they are usually more likely to be found at the big festivals like WGT or Castle Party, we are happy that they are coming to the Campus Noir X with their shimmering guitars and dark lyrics on the bc-stage.
See you in the fog & goth on!
[24.05.2022] 1st announcement: Red Zebra - 40 years living room!?
More than 40 years ago, they stormed the charts with "I can't live in a living room". What title could be more appropriate after two years of pandemic?
At the end of September, the veteran of the Belgian New Wave, Post-Punk and Punk scene will finally come out of their living room and directly onto the stage at the bc-Club, with a full line-up and the energy they feel from 40 years of rebellion. In addition to old classics and favourites, there will certainly also be new hits like "My Boss, The Robot".
Anyone who has seen the house band of Belgium's biggest New Wave Festival "W-Fest" live before knows that this is going to be a wild ride! Driving bass, rousing guitars, a singer who literally draws his audience into his music. New Wave, Postpunk, Punk at it's best! Sturdy shoes are a must here!
And don't forget: Red Zebra are already on the bc stage on Friday, 23.09.2022, for the warm-up!
[24.04.2022] Campus Noir X is coming!
Ten years, three clubs - one black campus!
After a two-year break, we are finally planning, yes!
Our anniversary edition will take place on 23/24 September 2022 and soon we'll have more news for you. We will definitely come up with a lot of ideas to make you forget the two years that were cancelled.
We hope you are looking forward to Campus Noir X as much as we are!
